The HPE 1820 Switch Series is a collection of six smart-managed, fixed-configuration Gigabit Ethernet Layer 2 switches that include 8-, 24-, and 48-port Gigabit Ethernet switches as well as 8-, 24-, and 48-port Gigabit PoE+ models, all of which provide non-blocking Gigabit per port performance. For environments where line power is unavailable, the 8-port Gigabit Ethernet model can be operated by an upstream Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch.

These switches are plug-and-play out of the box, with network operation fine-tuned via features accessible via a simple Web browser-based GUI when necessary.
